Many refractionists have a challenge working with diplopia, commonly known as double vision. In our experience, what we have found is that the problem is not coming from the refractionist, but is actually coming from the process and procedure of how the eyeglasses are made.
With today's equipment, lenses with prism with project an image so it appears in a place where it is actually not, causing an illusion that can trick the machine operator.

This causes a big problem to the refractionist who has spent all that time meticulously trying to help a person with diplopia because many times the prescription that they have ordered with the correct amount of prism is very difficult for the laboratory to manufacture correctly.

At Visions of Canada, we have developed a process and procedure that ensures the amount of prism that is ordered in the prescription comes out accurately and the eyeglasses are well tolerated by the patient with diplopia. Many people with diplopia come to us with a bag full of eyeglasses that did not work for them. These special cases are everyday procedures for us. We commonly cater to such prescriptions and our clients are happy with their glasses.
If you require prism in your prescription, contact us and we will use our process and procedures to make eyeglasses for your diplopia accurately.
We gladly accept referrals from all eye doctors.
